Brisbane Scopes offers direct access to a range of procedures, whether you need a colonoscopy, a gastroscopy or a flexible sigmoidoscopy. We can also offer our patients bowel cancer screening. Bowel cancer (colon and rectal cancer) is one of the most common forms of cancer in Australia, and it is very important for those at risk to ensure they are tested in accordance with the National Bowel Cancer Screening guidelines.

For complete convenience, we provide a no-gap service for patients with private health insurance, depending on your private health fund. The only exception to this is if, after an initial consultation with Dr Renaut, it has been decided to perform another procedure at the same time as either the colonoscopy or gastroscopy. This is because that procedure will attract a gap payment (in accordance with Dr Renaut’s usual billing process) and health funds do not permit a combination of “gap” and “no-gap” procedures when performed under the same anaesthetic.
